My ceramic work is a meditation on form, function, and imperfection. Rooted in Asian and particularly Japanese aesthetics, each piece I create is guided by philosophies such as wabi-sabi-the appreciation of transience and imperfection-and the quiet strength of restraint found in Zen traditions. I am drawn to the idea that beauty is not found in perfection, but in authenticity-the irregular rim of a bowl, the subtle shift in glaze, the traces of the maker's hand.
My pieces are made to be used and lived with. They serve as vessels for daily rituals, bridging utility and mindfulness.
Whether held in the palm or placed at the center of a table, I want each form to invite a moment of connection-between people, between past and present, between nature and the self.
Through clay, I explore a deeply personal yet culturally resonant language, honoring the traditions that inspire me while allowing space for intuition and experimentation. My hope is that these works offer quiet presence, grounding their users in the everyday beauty of imperfection.
