We'll Be Installing Our New Officers
At The October Meeting
There will be a demonstration by
Stephanie Steufer - Ceramic Artist
The CLPB is proud to present functional potter Stephanie Steufer, Ceramic Artist-in-Residence Armory Arts Center as our guest artist for this meeting. Stephanie is a recent graduate of the University of Florida. She earned a B.F.A. from the University of Georgia. Prior to her graduate studies, she completed a post baccalaureate at Louisiana State University. She has been a resident artist at Glenfalloch Pottery in New Zealand and Red Star Studios in Missouri. Stephanie has taught ceramic processes at the college and K-12 level. Stephanie is a beautiful wheel thrower. Her sensuous work includes appendages, bulges and crevices that insinuate their natural derivations. Stephanie’s work may be seen in the November 2009 Ceramics Monthly and on her website www.stephaniestuefer.com

Stephanie will share some of her work, her philosophy as well as demonstrate slump molds. Let’s continue to support our guest artists. We are so fortunate to have Stephanie visit us and share her skills. Support your CLPB with your presence.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Our September meeting was a rousing success. What a turnout! We want to thank John McCoy for his wheel demonstration with his tips and techniques that bring his beautiful work to life. I am looking forward to seeing you all again, welcoming our snowbirds and our new members. We have an exciting year planned for your CLPB. Thank you all for your support now and throughout the coming year. Work hard and have fun!
Sincerely,
Betty Wilson, President
